The School has a very active Careers Department with its own Library and computing facilities. In addition to class work within the curriculum, there are individual careers interviews and the opportunity for psychometric testing through JIIG-CAL and Centigrade. The School works closely with Trafford Connexions both of which provide advisers and speakers. The annual Careers Convention is supported by out of school visits giving entire year groups the opportunity to investigate employment and university options. Higher Education advice begins in the Lower Sixth and the scheduled programme of guidance ensures successful university applications.

All pupils are provided with a week's work experience in Year 10. Careful preparation in PSHE lessons helps ensure each pupil chooses an appropriate placement and he assesses his experience on his return to school. Further work opportunities can be arranged in subsequent years.
