A Warm Welcome To North Cestrian
Our Mission: to provide high standards and broad academic and extra curricular opportunities in a relatively small community where each pupil can be recognised as an individual. The School aims to prove that every one can excel in some area, given opportunity and encouragement, and to develop responsibility, initiative, self-confidence, self-respect, leadership and concern for others so that the children grow into young adults who are happy in daily life, confident in relationships with others and self-motivated in their work. NCGS - exceeding expectation.
At North Cestrian we offer all the advantages of a traditional Grammar School education with the additional benefit of close personal attention within a small school.

Greetings From The Headmaster
"It is the human touch which matters in schools today. Given the right environment each pupil's prospects can be transformed; with growth in confidence and personal dignity comes success which surpasses personal expectation. This is why our School has a well-earned reputation for fulfilling the potential of our brightest pupils whilst nurturing the talents of those whose ability lies unrecognised or unchallenged.
The atmosphere at North Cestrian is a positive one, and this is discernible in all the varied activities which provide opportunities for every child. The recognition of success through the interest we show, and the positive reinforcement of our approval in all we say and do, is a vital aspect of our school life." - D.G. Vanstone, Headteacher
