On
behalf of the Parents' Association, I would like to welcome you to
North Cestrian and introduce the Association, its purpose and activities.
We are a very active Parents' Association, running a variety of events
throughout the school year. We aim to enhance the social life of the
School and at the same time provide the added benefit of extra funds
to assist the School in its objectives. Many of our events are for
all the family and are run with the help and participation of the pupils
and parents. As a non profit making organisation, the School welcomes
the additional funds we provide to purchase items that benefit the
wide range of activities and clubs outside the school curriculum, to
obtain extra facilities for academic work, and even to help bring major
projects to earlier fruition for the benefit of all the boys and girls.
Many new parents seek to help the work of the Parents by joining the
Association at the start of their child's first year in the School.
Membership does not require any commitment to help with events but
does help the Committee keep you in touch with forthcoming social events.
Membership costs £10 which covers your son/daughter’s entire
time at the School. I do hope you can help us and should be grateful
if you could return the form to the School Office for my attention.
Everyone can help the Association to achieve its goals by attending
and supporting the events that we organise. For those of you with a
desire to get more involved, we would be pleased to receive help with
the planning and running of events.
Early in the Autumn Term there is an opportunity to meet the current
committee members and discuss plans for the forthcoming academic year.
We are always looking for new committee members and ideas, and hope
that many new parents will want to join the committee.
